I approached TISA after I had hit an obstacle in my skills assessment application. Initially I had thought the skills assessment was going to be easy enough for me to do without any assistance from a migration agent. It looked simple enough on paper and because I had just completed a PhD, I imagined the process would be straightforward. But I was wrong. I did not clearly understand and follow the instructions for my lack of knowledge about the finer details of the process. The complication that arose in my case was unforeseen by me and it is something I later realised TISA could have picked up on had I come to them first.
